Laminate Flooring has been found to contain FORMALDEHYDE. The EPA does not have specific information about the laminate wood flooring that was the subject of the recent 60 Minutes segment and is working with CARB and other agencies to better understand the scope of the issues discussed in the segment. 60 Minutes claims they found Lumber Liquidators’ Chinese-made laminate flooring contains amounts of toxic formaldehyde that may not meet health and safety standards.
